Former SDSC player called in to the U17 National Team camp!

Congratulations to Diego Rocio, formerly with SDSC’s Coach Brian Quinn’s 2007 team, who has been selected for the most recent UN National team BU17 Roster. The boys will train at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista November 1-8. This is in preparation for the 2022 U17 World Cup.
Players born on or after Jan. 1, 2006 are eligible for this World Cup cycle. US Coach Segares has called in 35 players born in 2006 and only one born in 2007 – forward Diego Rocio!

First U17 USMNT traning camp since February 2020 set for Nov. 1-8 at elite training center in Chula Vista, CA
CHICAGO (Oct. 27, 2021) -- The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team will return to action for its first training camp under new head coach Gonzalo Segares from Nov. 1-8 at the Elite Athlete Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. The camp kicks off the 2022-23 cycle, which culminates with the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Peru.
Players born on or after Jan. 1, 2006 are eligible for this World Cup cycle. Segares has called in 35 players born in 2006 and one born in 2007- forward Diego Rocio. Many players participated in BioSteel YNT Regional Identification Centers during the past year -- one-day sessions that bring together top prospects in their home regions.
