Longtime soccer, rec volunteer is honored for her dedication

Recently, San Diego Soccer Club volunteer Sally Grigoriev (our VP of Ways and Means and more!) was honored with the 2017 Glassman-Brown Recreational Leadership Award. The San Diego Union-Tribune did a write-up on Sally and her dedication to youth sports. An excerpt is below...

For her nearly two decades of volunteerism to help local youths play soccer and other sports, Sally Grigoriev has received the 2017 Glassman-Brown Recreational Leadership Award.

Grigoriev, a Rancho Bernardo resident since 1991, was described as a “mainstay” of the Rancho Bernardo Youth Soccer Association by nominator Dennis Yeatman, a 2013 recipient for his volunteerism with youth lacrosse.

“She has been involved at every level of Rancho Bernardo Youth Soccer,” Yeatman wrote in the nomination. “As a volunteer since 1999, Sally has held most every position on the RB soccer board. She has been a team manager, uniform coordinator and director of fields.”
